Visit from Fireman Mark

Fireman Mark came to our classroom in October and talked to the 4year old friends. He talked to them about the uniforms people wear to work, what to do if there is a fire in their house and encouraged them to look for a firefighter not to go hide. We are very thankful for Fireman Mark and his dedication to his job. He does a great job talking to the little kids, below are just a few pictures from his visit.

Look at how the kids are looking right at him...

showing different pictures of community members that wear a uniform and talking about why they wear it

Showing the special gloves that only firefighters have

Explaining to the kids what each piece of his uniform is for

modeling the full uniform

talking to the students with his air tank on so the kids know its still fireman Mark under there

letting the students know that if there is a fire to get down low and if you see a fireman go to them

We love fireman Mark!!!!!!!!

FREE webinar

Parenting is the hardest job in the world and if you are like me you are always looking for suggestions, strategies and advice to help make it easier. Over the summer I sat in on a free webinar called Get your kids to listen without nagging, reminding or yelling by Amy McCready.  It offered some great ideas that I have been using since then with great results. When I received an email the other day about another free webinar I was very excited and so I'm sharing with you. If you are interested click on the link below and find out more information. I am registered and the best part is you can watch it anytime within a 24hr period.

I  just registered for Conference for Moms-Training for the Hardest and Best Job in the World! Check it out here:

If you would like to chat about any of these webinars please contact me I love sharing:)

Cupcakes and sprinkles

Mrs. Engelhardt's class worked with the letter C. We looked at how the letter is made, the sound it makes and words that start with C. We read the funny book If you give a Cat a CupCake   and followed it up with a cupcake art project. The frosting was created by mixing glue and shaving cream which was mixed together to create a puffy paint.
